Taraji P. Henson just served some super fierce, super fly #blackgirlmagic in an editorial for CR Fashion Book.
The Empire actress took keeping it real to another level and went wigless, rocking her natural hair—in cornrows!
Henson reveals to the magazine that she was actually supposed to wear a wig, but after photographer Bruce Weber saw her protective style, he insisted, "'We’ll shoot your hair just like that, it’s beautiful.'"
She admits that a part of her was reluctant to show her "behind-closed-doors hair," but she trusted Weber and his vision.
"As an actress that's what we do. We are vulnerable every time we put our art out there," she told the magazine. "Underneath that hair is my soul, and it's me, it's mine."
